Inka Zamoyska
Fine Arts
About the Artist:
"My passion to paint is fuelled by the beauty of Creation: I want to capture it on canvas."

Inka Zamoyska, award winning painter with a rich Polish heritage, began her compelling interest in art in childhood and was
influenced by her mother's artistically accomplished family.  She studied for a number of years, focusing studio art, and
continued to develop her skills through ongoing workshops and classes. She is inspired and influenced by the Great Masters
and the Impressionists of France, North America, and Poland.

Through the years, Inka explored a variety of media .  For many years she enjoyed working in watercolor as most suited to her
landscapes; however, lately she has returned to her first love working in oils with palette knives. Since settling in Southern
California, after living in Canada, Europe, and Upstate New York, she has enjoyed working "en plein air" capturing the unique
colors and light of the area.

Inka teaches painting and drawing to students of all ages, offering individual or group lessons and workshops. She has been
showing her work in group and solo shows for over 30 years, and her paintings are part of many private and corporate
collections in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, as well as select galleries.  She is a member of various professional art
organizations and has served as jurist for several shows and competitions. She also provides personal creativity coaching to
artists who want to grow artistically, personally, and professionally.

As a nature lover, Inka feels that beauty and nature are an antidote to the stress and chaos of today's hectic world.  She aims
to capture that serenity on canvas and offer it on to the viewers, hoping that they too will experience the soothing effect of
nature's beauty. Her paintings offer a place to rest one's eyes and soul without taking a vacation! Visit the
gallery  page, and
enjoy the respite.

"When I go paint 'en plein air," I first still myself and then I can witness nature's nuances--
I hear the birds, the water ripple, the breeze whisper in the trees...
this quietness allows me to see the sweetest of colors...
to hear and feel the seasons...
to feel the powerful presence of an ocean, or of mountains...
Once I feel this magic,
then I am ready to express my awe and gratitude to what is unfolding before my eyes.
I do so with oil paints and palette knives.
I love working with palette knives because the work is so expressive and textural."
